An enterprise software provider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build, automate, and maintain the infrastructure supporting its applications and engineering teams.
This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on infrastructure reliability, scalability, automation, and developer productivity. You`ll work across AWS and Linux-based environments, taking ownership of critical infrastructure services while developing tools and systems that improve how software is built, deployed, and operated.
The position combines software development with infrastructure engineering, with opportunities to contribute across cloud platforms, compute, observability, security, and developer tooling.
What You`ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and operate reliable infrastructure services supporting production applications and internal engineering teams.
- Build and improve cloud infrastructure and compute platforms using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Develop software, automation, and internal tooling to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Own critical infrastructure systems and services, including their reliability, performance, and ongoing improvement.
- Improve developer workflows, CI/CD processes, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Evaluate and apply modern technologies, including generative AI where appropriate, to improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify infrastructure challenges, develop solutions, and establish effective engineering practices.
- Define and track operational metrics to measure infrastructure reliability and improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience, with flexibility for candidates demonstrating strong technical capabilities and ownership.
- Hands-on experience building, operating, and improving production infrastructure systems.
- Strong software engineering skills, including advanced proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience owning critical infrastructure services such as Kubernetes platforms, cloud infrastructure, DNS, or authentication systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop automation and software solutions that improve reliability, scalability, or operational efficiency.
- Ability to balance engineering quality, delivery timelines, and operational risk.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating production workloads in AWS.
