Fintech firms seeks a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Engineer with Automation experience to join their global infrastructure team. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies, operational support, and automation, with the ability to troubleshoot complex environments and provide leadership to junior staff.
The position can be either hybrid or remote in the US or Canada, depending on candidates location.
Compensation includes base (target in the 150-170k +/- range) + bonus + equity, and excellent benefits including medical/dental, 401k, unlimited pto, and much more!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced operational support for LAN, WAN, data center, wireless, load balancing, and network security technologies.
- Troubleshoot non-routine incidents requiring in-depth analysis, adaptation of standard procedures, and advanced problem-solving.
- Continuously monitor and maintain the operational health of global network infrastructure, proactively addressing points of failure.
- Automate day-to-day tasks, health checks, and network workflows using scripting and orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with systems engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement solutions.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers on troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours/weekend maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Professional-level certifications (CCNP/CCDP/CCIE, F5 CTS/Expert) strongly preferred.
5+ years engineering, configuring, and supporting:
- WAN solutions (SD-WAN/Versa, MPLS, VPN, Ethernet services)
- Large-scale data center networking environments
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Switching (STP, VPC, FabricPath, ACI, VXLAN)
- DNS, DHCP, IP address management (Bluecat, Men&Mice, etc.)
- Cisco, Juniper, Arista switches and routers
- Firewalls (Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto) and remote access (Palo Alto GlobalProtect)
- Wireless (Aruba, Arista) and access control (Aruba ClearPass)
- Load balancing (F5 GTM/LTM) and virtualization (VMware ESXi, NSX)
- Software-Defined Networking (Arista CVP) and lifecycle refresh processes.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and analysis tools (Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, Arkime, ELK, Splunk, Grafana).
- Hands-on automation skills with Python, Ansible, Flask, Rundeck, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with SIP installation and support.
- Strong background in ITIL processes, ServiceNow, and change/incident management.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
