Role Overview

A financial services firm is seeking a Public Sector Financial Services Sales Representative to drive growth across a defined territory. This role focuses on building and expanding relationships with municipalities, school districts, counties, and other government entities through the distribution of asset management and related financial solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and grow a defined public sector territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across government entities
  • Drive new business through in-person meetings, phone outreach, email outreach, and conferences
  • Present solutions to governing boards, committees, and senior stakeholders
  • Guide prospective clients through onboarding and required documentation
  • Expand participation and product usage within existing client accounts
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, territory updates, and expense tracking
  • Meet or exceed defined sales goals and activity expectations

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in financial services, banking, investments, or related sectors
  • Experience managing a travel-heavy territory
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and boards
  • Experience selling to public sector or institutional clients preferred
  • Proven ability to operate independently while meeting performance targets
  • Holds at least two of the following licenses at hire: Series 7, Series 66, Series 52
  • Ability to obtain the remaining required license within 90 days
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus

Work Environment

  • Onsite in either Dallas or Orlando when not traveling
  • Approximately 50% travel, primarily day travel with some overnight travel

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target base salary is $125,000 with some flexibility, plus performance-based bonus
