Senior SRE - Platform
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will work across the stack, looking for inefficiencies and fragilities in services and systems, writing fixes, and evolving the infrastructure to ensure reliability. You know AWS inside and out, and Code in Python and potentially other languages!
Responsibilities
- Bring hardcore SRE skills to the table for our platform - primarily in AWS.
- Build tools and monitoring software to ensure all processes are running smoothly, from all parts of the software stack to backup and restore procedures and automated config management infrastructure.
- Constantly and rigorously test for inefficiencies and fragilities, and write software or infrastructure fixes. You must be fluent in both software code and IaC.
- Work closely with Platform and Security teams to determine the best course of action in terms of evolving certain pieces of infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Typescript
- Strong AWS experience -EC2, S3, Aurora, etc.
- Strong DevOps skills and expert-level linux debugging and knowledge of networking and distributed infrastructure.
- Passionate about DevOps/SRE best practices - SLOs, SLIs, etc.
Education & Experience:
- Masters + 5 years / Bachelors + 7 preferred
- Experience as a senior engineer in a reliability team (SRE / Production Engineer)
- Computer Engineer or other Technical degrees from a top school preferred
Packages will be bespoke - Salary starts around 210,000, plus bonus and equity - depending on experience, can be much more - plus bonus and equity and of course full benefits.
