2Bridge has been engaged in the full-time direct hire search for a Fixed Income/Credit Risk Sales Director for our Global FinTech Client.

In that capacity, you will join their London office to drive Bank expansion efforts in EMEA & APAC. You are a "hunter" salesperson who will execute on driving sales opportunities in existing banks and working to expand into adjacent functions such as Prime Brokerage Risk, Securities Finance, CVA, Fund Finance, Distribution / Balance Sheet Management, etc. You will be responsible for quantifying and growing our Bank subscriber segments by identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities. 

 

You will have access to a proven and effective playbook and extensive evidence of success across our existing client portfolio. Our client offers a highly collaborative and supportive environment, including access to an exceptional team of experienced credit risk experts, quants, product specialists, and technical sales engineers to aid the sales process.

 

You can help build other emerging segments, including Trade Finance, DCM, Loan syndication, etc. This is an ideal role for an experienced capital markets professional with extensive experience in any identified functions. Additionally, coming from a credit risk background and having sold credit risk solutions to banks will be highly sought after. Working in an entrepreneurial environment and/or a proven track record in selling a completely new product/data set would be highly advantageous.

 

We are looking for someone to help us collaboratively build a business that will be the cornerstone of our commercial success.

 

The role will be based in London, and the work pattern will be hybrid, involving three days in the office and moderate travel.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop a clear and executable strategy for client expansion/acquisition leveraging a segment-based approach
  • Prospecting with a focus on building a strong relationship and a robust, viable sales pipeline
  • Clear qualification (in and out) of viable prospects and appropriate prioritization of resources
  • Navigating prospects through the sales process with the view of bringing clients on board (including negotiating commercial terms within standard pricing band tolerances)
  • Become a market-visible advocate within specific client segments on the value proposition
  • Having ownership of identified and developed client segments

Requirements

 

  • 7 years of experience within financial markets, ideally within capital markets or Credit risk solutions
  • An expert understanding of financial market structure; knowledge of credit risk analytics, fixed income/credit solutions, or capital market services; and/or experience working in a top-tier bank, etc.
  • Experience in selling into or advising capital markets related to credit risk solutions
  • Be able to leverage existing relationships to gain entry points to prospective clients
  • Working in an entrepreneurial environment and/or a proven track record in selling a completely new product/data set
  • Ability to generate leads and develop relationships where none exist and follow-up effectively
  • Ability to drive product development that allows effective integration into client workflow
  • Understanding of recurring revenue businesses (annuity revenue model)
  • Experience in leveraging market standard CRM (eg. Salesforce) and ability to help drive best practices
  • Excellent networking and presentation skills (both written and spoken)
  • Proactive, with an ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Collaborative team player
  • Fluency in other foreign languages is a bonus
